How to Color a US/Canada Map for PowerPoint and Create a Sales and Marketiing Territory Map

This video is on our editable USA and Canada PowerPoint Combo Map with Names, it is royalty free, easy to customize and edit, change colors, add text and build custom regions. Great for building and setting up a sales territory map.

Let Me Show You How Easy the Maps are to Edit. Each state and province is an individual object that you can select and color. Select the state or province with your pointer, and fill with a new color.

To change several states at once, hold down the shift key while you are selecting the county or click, hold the mouse button and drag around several states. Then choose a fill color.

All text is fully editable and can be added or changed. Use the insert text box in your tool bar and add new text.

It is easy to delete states or provinces you don’t want or grab ones that you do to build a custom map.

Because the maps are vector outlines the states or provinces can be enlarged to reduced with no loss of sharpness, just group the states and change the size. You can also select each country.

You can add any of the PowerPoint objects or shapes such as a star, arrow or boxes to your map

Each map comes pre-loaded in a PowerPoint slide deck with and without.

Maps can be shared with your team on multiple computers for no additional cost and are easy to email to anyone

Searching for Where Japan is On The Globe

We have been following the events in Japan with a lot of interest and amazement. I took a quick look at our Google Analytics stats for our World of Maps site and saw a big spike on Friday, March 11, the day of the earthquake. The top 9 all centered around Japan. It was interesting to see what people were searching on and the keyword phrases they used.

Easy of Working with Our Editable PowerPoint Maps

We had a nice comment today from a customer that need to do a lot of customizing on one of our maps. They also need to duplicate the map for a book as well as the web. They bought one of our PowerPoint maps and then we sent along the matching Illustrator map for their designer. We got this comment back.

World Countries in Our Editable PowerPoint and Illustrator Map Collection

New World Projection Map Add to the Collection

One of the new maps we have add in our recent World of Maps upgrade is a Mercator projection with individual countries and their names. This has been a very popular map with our PowerPoint users. Anyone doing a presentation where they have to show international offices or plotting data, this is the map. We also have a matching Adobe Illustrator version that has all the same features. The maps are completely editable and all elements can be changed, moved, put into new groups, text added and a question we are often asked, can they be deleted, the answer is yes.

Customer Question: I need to customize a world map to show historical trade routes?
I need to draw some line-routes over a map of the world to depict a sailing vessel's trip. I'd like to do it in colors to depict the different locations in different years. Will your Easy To Use
CD-DVD-ROM program work for me?

MFD Answer: Thank you for visiting our site and for your question. The basic answer is yes, but you will need some kind of graphics program to do the customizing in. What we sell are editable clip art maps in either PowerPoint or Adobe Illustrator, we also have jpg ones. All of
your customizing would be done in either of those programs. You could also use CorelDraw instead of Illustrator. You can also work in PhotoShop with the jpg maps but you don't have quite as much flexibility because they are bitmaps instead of objects.

Our maps are fully editable, each state or country is an object that can be changed, the customizing is done in the other programs. The maps can be colored any way that you like, and both PowerPoint and Illustrator have a lot of tools and options to do this..

We have several different views of the world in different projections, including maps with individual editable countries.
